Feast your eyes on the soft charcoal lines that artist Anouk Griffioen draws live on paper. See how charcoal is second nature to her, and how she uses it to capture nature in lines and shapes.
As you continue, your hands discover different textures: a porcupine, a spiked jacket, and then suddenly… something silky soft. As you listen closely to enticing sounds, your nose is surprised by scents that stir up memories.
Slowly, your hips begin to sway to the vinyl beats of The Underground Is Coming: groovy disco, house and global sounds. Then, headphones on, you surrender completely to Wordbites’ silent disco: catchy performance poetry that crackles, bites and caresses. Here, form dances with content, and content with form.

And once you’re sweaty and brimming with new impressions, there’s just one thing left to do: have your picture taken. Or so you think. Because this is no ordinary photobooth, but an analogue drawing machine. You’ll receive a warm welcome from the host, before artist Lieke Steen captures you and your friends on paper in just three minutes. From a blank canvas to a unique work of art: experience it for yourself during Museum Night at the Groote Museum.
