Experience the night in ARTIS

Guest speakers Merel Westrik and Martin Melchers brought all their joy to the making of their most recent documentary, Amsterdam Wildlife by Night.The nocturnal animals of the city are tracked, revealing much more of nature than visible at first glance.

Additionally, guest speaker Siegrid Siderius will teach us how to plant and maintain a garden that offers food and shelter to nocturnal animals, and we will journey into the darkness of space to escape Earth's omnipresent light pollution.

Finally, we will take a walk through a completely dark ARTIS-Park, either with a guide or accompanied by an audio tour written and recorded by writer and theatre maker Marjolijn van Heemstra.
