ARTIS reopens as of Wednesday May 19

As of Wednesday, May 19, ARTIS is open again to visitors. After five months of closure due to the corona measures, we are delighted to be able to open the gate again. The government gave the green light for the announced new regulations on Monday afternoon.

Please note: You can reserve tickets for a maximum of 2 people, excluding children (aged 13 and over) and people from the same household.
Outdoor venues and terrace open
For the time being, only the outdoor locations in ARTIS park are open and fortunately the park is in splendid condition. The spring flowers are blooming abundantly and now that the leaves are coming off the old oaks and poplars, a lush green roof is forming over ARTIS again. All ARTIS-cafes and restaurants are open for take-out and you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a nutritious lunch on the terrace. The onlu indoor areas in ARTIS that are open are the restrooms and ARTIS-store. In these areas, a mouth mask requirement applies.
ARTIS-Planetarium and ARTIS-Micropia still closed
As soon as next regulations from the government allow it, visitors are also welcome again in the indoor and walk-through enclosures, the Planetarium and in microbemuseum Micropia. The ARTIS-Aquarium will remain closed for the time being due to a large-scale renovation.
