Did you know that not only plants, but also microbes produce oxygen? Take your class on an interactive journey of discovery at ARTIS-Micropia. During this Micro Mission, primary school pupils find out which microbes produce the oxygen we breathe and why, without them, life as we know it would not exist. Perfect as an educational school trip or biology lesson about nature and the environment.

What is a Micro Mission?

Pupils follow a trail through the museum. Through puzzles, tasks and questions, they collect letters that form a word. Along the way, they learn which microbes produce oxygen and why they are vital for life on Earth. The lesson materials provide a clear structure throughout the visit.
