Access to nature for everyone
As a mobility partner, Uber uses its resources and expertise to give schoolchildren from the greater Amsterdam area the opportunity to visit ARTIS — even when financial means are limited.
The shared goal: to provide 6,000 children with an unforgettable visit to ARTIS each school year. Because everyone should have the chance to experience nature up close.
Natuurweetjesbus
At the heart of this initiative is the Natuurweetjesbus: a fully transformed bus filled with facts about nature. The bus visits schools thanks to the support of the Oostenrijk Groep, while the Jeugdeducatiefonds selects which schools can participate. One student said afterwards: “It was fantastic!!"
Building a healthy planet together
In addition to its role in mobility, Uber is committed to preserving a healthy planet. Everyone should be able to see and feel how beautiful and vulnerable nature is, and understand that we all have a role to play in protecting it.
During the Aardbewonersfestival, visitors of all ages discover how they can contribute to a healthy planet themselves. This annual event around Ascension Day is made possible in part by Uber.
