With We, Water Beings, the temporary fantasy aquarium explores how water forms the foundation of all life. From fish and worms to humans, every living being is connected to water in its own way. This shared origin reveals how deeply humans and nature are intertwined and that we may be more water beings than we think.

What makes an animal a water being?

A clown triggerfish is a water being, just like a seahorse. But what about a giraffe or an elephant? A lugworm lives in and with water. But does the same apply to an earthworm in the garden? And what about a bookworm in the library?
