Confidentiality of personal data
ARTIS respects the privacy of the visitors to our websites and ensures that any personal information you provide us with is treated confidentially. Processing of the personal data takes place in accordance with the requirements set by the General Data Protection Regulation.
Purposes and legal basis of processing personal data
Your personal data is stored and processed by us in order to provide you with the best possible service, with a view to conducting activities related to customer relationship management, product and service development and customer research. Examples of this might include sending you the tickets you have bought online, sending you the ARTIS magazine and carrying out member administration.
The personal data that we request and process, and the purpose for this, will be stated in the relevant request for your personal data.
Within ARTIS we take appropriate security measures to limit any misuse of and unauthorised access to your personal data. Only the persons who need it are given access to your data, and this access is restricted by means of protocols and security measures that are regularly reviewed.
It may be that it is necessary to make use of the services of third parties for the processing or analysis of data. In that case you will be informed of this, and you can be sure that ARTIS uses processor agreements to impose on third parties the requirements of carefully dealing with personal data. In this way we ensure that the data is only used for the purposes for which you have supplied it or when this is legally required, and that it is deleted when it is no longer necessary to retain it.
The data that you send to us will be retained for as long as is necessary in view of the purposes described above. When you become a member, for example, we retain your personal data for as long as your membership lasts plus two years. If you have subscribed to our newsletter, you will receive it until you no longer wish to, and we will save your email address for this long.
If you are 16 years old or younger and wish to use our products or services, you can do so under the supervision of a parent or legal representative.
You have the opportunity to review your personal data. To do so, please submit a request to email@example.com . If the data review that we supply to you contains any errors, you may either ask us to correct the data or have it deleted. If you do not wish or no longer wish to be approached with information on our products and services, or wish to withdraw your permission for ARTIS to use your personal data, you can let us know this via the same email address.
Personal data controller
We have designated a single data protection controller within ARTIS. If you have any questions concerning your personal data, or you have a complaint, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org or +31 (0)20 5233674. If we cannot resolve the issue, then you can contact the Data Protection Authority directly. You can find information about this topic on their website.
