Learn more about the Asian elephant

An elephant eats an enormous quantity of food; as much as 100 kilos a day of vegetables, hay, bark and fruit. As a result, they spend much of their day eating. Unfortunately, Asian elephants are endangered and face the threat of extinction, not only due to hunting and poaching, but mainly due to the fragmentation and reduction of elephant habitat through human activities.

Throughout the day, there are interesting talks about the animals in the zoo, describing their unique characteristics and the kind of care they need.
