This autumn half-term, set off on a Micro Mission at ARTIS-Micropia! Puzzle your way through the museum and discover how microbes contribute to the production of oxygen on Earth.

Did you know that half of all the oxygen on Earth isn’t produced by plants, but by microbes?

During the autumn holidays, wander criss-cross through the museum on your Micro Mission and solve the puzzle. Plants aren’t the only ones producing oxygen—microbes play a crucial role too, and they deserve their place in the spotlight. On this Micro Mission, children aged 8 and up will discover which microbes are responsible for oxygen production and why they’re so essential for life on Earth. It’s an adventure full of discoveries and surprises!
